Plate 6. Looking northeast at St. Anthony in 1861. The Pioneer Sawmill on the West Side Platform is at the far left and the Government Grist Mill in the lower right. The Mill Hands Boarding House is on Hennepin Island in the left center. On the east side, the Winslow House dominates the skyline.
